Does Wam POS work on iPhone?
Not yet. Wam POS is Android-only today because Apple restricts NFC tap-to-pay access for third-party apps in our region. Any NFC-enabled Android phone or tablet works. iPhone support is on our roadmap and we'll announce it the moment it's possible.
What phone do I need?
Any Android phone or tablet with NFC — most Android devices sold in the last five years have it. If your phone can use Google Pay, it can run Wam POS. There is no extra hardware: no reader, no dongle, no docking station.
What does it cost?
The app is free to download and there is no monthly fee and no terminal rental. You pay a flat 3.0% + TT$1.50 per card transaction — compare that to renting a traditional terminal, which typically costs hundreds of TT dollars a month before you take a single payment.
What payments can I accept?
Contactless Linx debit, Visa and Mastercard tap, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Your customers tap the back of your phone exactly like they would a bank terminal.
Where does the money go?
Every payment settles into your Wam business wallet. From there you can pay suppliers and staff, withdraw to your bank, or spend with your Wam card.
